Of Local Interest
The Caddo Band went to Durant last Friday to play for the Horse Show. This band is making a reputation for Caddo in their playing and their services are constantly in demand.
Miss Nina Steagall returned Wednesday to her home in Ft. Worth after a visit of two weeks to her grandmother, Mrs. Fuller. She was accompanied home by little Miss Velma Conwell.

Noah Arrington was in town last week with some very fine peaches which he raised on his home place. He did not forget where The Herald office is located either, for which we are duly thankful.
Mr. and Mrs. Will R. McBride left Saturday night for Denver. They were accompanied by Mrs. R. A. Riddels and Misses Johnny and Katie Riddels who will visit in Denver the remainder of the summer.
Misses Rose and Juanita Rogers entertained the Lofty Club at the home of their mother, Mrs. P. L. Rogers, last Saturday evening. The program was well rendered. Delicious ice cream and cake was served.
W. M. Smith was down from McAlester Sunday. His company, the Katy Mill & Elevator Co. is preparing to put on the market their own brand of flour, besides taking care of the oat and corn markets.
Last Saturday evening Herman Pierson entertained a number of his young friends at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Pierson. The evening was spent in childish games after which refreshments were served.

The violin pupils of Prof. G. C. Davis gave their recital at the Methodist church last Thursday evening t an appreciative audience. The program was well rendered, each pupil showing considerable advancement during the year.
John Ray left Saturday for Wyoming to make his home. Mrs. Ray and Miss Neva will leave next week to join him. Caddo regrets to lose these good people as citizens, but wish that their every hope of happiness and prosperity will be realized.
Last Wednesday evening Caddo Grove No. 64 was called upon by Kenefic Grove to buy one of its members, Mrs. Oden. They responded to the call and buried her with Grove honors. Mrs. Oden leaves a husband and six children to mourn for her.
The Civic Club will give an old fashioned basket picnic at the Carnival ground on the 18th and members of all Clubs and Societies and their families are invited to attend and bring baskets. This picnic will not interfere in any manner with the entertainment to be given by the Home Mission Society at the same place and time.
Last Monday evening the Rebecca Lodge of Caddo met, elected and installed the following officers for the ensuing year: Mrs. Emmett Boydstun, N. G. ; Mrs. Droke, V.G.; Emmett Boydstun, Secretary; Mr. Craghead, Warden,; Mrs. Mattie Bloom, Chaplin; A. T. Droke, I. S.; W. H. Gre______. After which delicious refreshments were served.
