A.E. Ritchey is Dead
Alec Ritchey died suddenly in his room at the Royal Hotel at 7:30 Thursday morning. Funeral will be held Friday.
Mr. Ritchey awoke with some pain in his stomach, was relieved by hotel guests, who then went to breakfast. Mrs. Kuschke heard a noise inside his room, went to investigate and found him dead.
A.E. Ritchey was sixty-four years of age, had served three years as postmaster: he came to this country thirty-five years ago, taught a subscription school. He was a notary public and as such aided a great many people to get pensions, often without fee. He was a member of the Methodist church and is survived by his wife and five children.
Everybody liked Alec Ritchey, he was a good man in the community- obliging, helpful. His kindly aid will sorely be missed by those whom he helped.
