C. A. Reese Injured
C. A. Reese, who lives southwest of Caddo on the Henry Edwards place, was severely injured Thursday afternoon and is now in Evergreen Sanitarium for treatment.
He had been butchering hogs and started with a wagon to get another hog, placing his sharpened knife in his coat pocket. As he started to get in the wagon his team startled, which plunged the knife into his side. He grabbed the lines, caused another lurch, driving the knife deeper. The knife entered his abdomen and reach upward cutting his liver. It is thought he will recover.
Fight at Home
It’s cheaper, both on the community and town. Last Saturday two young men from east of town became embroiled in a fist fight in front of Grayson’s. One knocked the other through the plate glass window, breaking the glass into many pieces. Neither boy was badly hurt. But it will cost somebody a hundred dollars or so to replace the window so it were much better to do the fighting at home.
