Need 15 Signers- Do We Get Gas?
The gas committee, after diligent work, has secured enough signers so that only fifteen signers are necessary for the filling of our quota for gas to be brought to Caddo.

Do we get gas?
December 27, 1929
Last Thursday night the required number of signers were secured for gas in Caddo. This means that Caddo will get gas within a few months, possibly ninety days.
The meeting was likened unto a football score. A large number of men were present at the Legion Hut. John L. Boland was coaching the team. The sidelines were filled with eager fans waiting for the game to be won.
At the beginning thirty signers were necessary. Coach Boland sent his best team in, captioned by H. T. Chiles. At the first play a line back, Captain Chiles scored two yards. A short pass by Henry Bass brought a gain of another yard. Don Mason and Guy Crossett with a fake pass gained a yard, then Roy Barber and the elder Crossett advanced a point with a double pass. Sidelines now yelling like mad at the steady advances being made. Fullback Hub Meadows scored a yard around end to be followed immediately by half back Roy Cochran coming around left end with another. Victory now in sight, Captain Chiles lost two yards on a fake pass to be regained by Guthrie on a center rush. A long forward pass by Pitchlynn was grounded. Then Roy Barber sneaked under the lines for two yards. W. E. McIntosh substituting for Meadows made an end run for another yard and Captain Chiles followed with a center buck gaining two yards. Boone, playing left end, rushed across the line with the ball for two yards, quickly followed by Cochran who gained two yards on a fake back and end run. Standing behind the goal line Henry Bass caught a pass from Hub Meadows, now returned to the game, thus bringing a touchdown and victory- 170 to 0.
Officials of the company think gas will be ready to use in Caddo by April first if no untoward events occur.
A survey must be made, a franchise voted and pipes laid. This will give folks a chance to finish the winter on their old heaters, but for cooking gas will be the demand at once.
