Henry Wilson 42, is Killed in Accident
Henry J. Wilson, aged 42 was killed when the car in which he was riding overturned Tuesday morning five miles north of Durant. His companion, who has not yet been identified, was released from the overturned auto and disappeared and has not yet been apprehended by searchers.
Wilson suffered a fractured skull and numerous bruises and abrasion about the head and shoulders when the car turned completely over and settle in a ditch on the side of the road. It is not definitively known who was the driver of the car.
Wilson up to a short time ago lived in and near Caddo, but had moved to a farm some three miles north of Durant. He was a famous athlete, starring with the Haskell Indians during his early career; later he became a member of the Southeastern Teachers College athletic teams and was prominently mentioned for All American honors while playing football with the Haskell Indians.
Deceased is survived by his wife and an aunt, Mrs. Henry J. Byington, who lives here. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon with burial in the Caddo cemetery.
