Two Hundred Masons Gather in Caddo for District Meeting
One of the largest crowds of Masons ever to attend a district meeting was present Monday night when the 39th District Masonic Association held its regular monthly meeting with the Caddo lodge.
Some 200 Masons gathered from four states to witness the degree work as exemplified by a team sponsored by Wm. H. Powell, president of the Lecturers Association of Oklahoma.
Members of the team were from Holdenville, Ada, Francis, and Allen. Another high light of the meeting was an informal talk made by Dave H. Wilson, Grand Master of Oklahoma.
Mr. Wilson was very enthusiastic in his praise for Caddo Masons in having such a splendid meeting, and sponsoring such excellent degree work.
Some fifty Masons from Texas jurisdiction were present; one was from Minnesota, and two from Arkansas. Texas was represented by seven towns, 33 Masons coming from Denison and 10 from Sherman.
An excellent supper was served by the ladies of the Caddo Eastern Star, and while swamped by the numbers present, nevertheless, they rose nobly to the occasion and food was provided for all.
