Wednesday morning Mr. W. F. Dodd suffered a painful accident in getting from a surrey at the depot, skinning his thigh.

Ruel F. Taylor was in the city yesterday afternoon. Mr. Taylor is a candidate for sheriff of Bryan County and his announcement will appear in the next issue of this paper.
Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Styron, Mrs. Mattie Bloom, Mr. and Mr. H. G. Huffman left Sunday on the flyer for St. Louis where they will buy their spring lines of dry goods.
