Southbound Mail is Destroyed Saturday by Train
Southbound mail was literally chewed into bits last Saturday when the automatic arm catch on the southbound Katy Flyer failed to function and the sack of mail was thrown under the train. Practically all of the mail was a total loss.
The official invitations to the Alumni Reunion were included in this batch of mail and those southwest of Caddo whose mail was likely to be included in this batch are asked to accept this as an official notification of your delay in receiving your invitation, and if you still have failed to receive one in the second group mailed out, please consider this as your invitation as it would be impossible to obtain a new supply and mail it to you before time for the meeting.
While this was unavoidable, the officers of the Association regret the affair very much and if you still have not received an invitation, come on anyway and a good time will be had by all.
