Father Murrow Marries

Atoka, Okla. Sept. 12- The marriage of Father J. S. Murrow, 87 years old, to Miss Jennie Kurgie, took place in Atoka on Sept. 6. Mr. Murrow is one of the best known citizens in Oklahoma. He has been active in the Baptist church. Miss Kurgie came here from Texas as a nurse for her present husband.

The ceremony was performed by J. M. Humphrey and was witnessed by a large number of friends.

Elsewhere in the paper is this editorial comment: It is stated that Father J.S. Murrow of Atoka, age 86 years, was married Sept. 6. This item revives the old question: “When does a man get too old to marry?”
