Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hill were in Caddo Sunday from Atoka.

Joe Bass was home Easter from OU at Norman.

Mr. and Mrs. John Burns and daughters visited Tecumseh at Easter time.

Kenneth McCreary, student at A. & M. was here Sunday visiting relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Shofner of Courtney, were here for the B. B. Easley funeral. 

Mrs. Mary Wilson visited her daughter in Jenks Easter.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones Sharp attending the wedding of a cousin in Tulsa Saturday.

More than 4 inches of rain has fallen here since Monday. The parched earth is quenched and crop prospects better.

Mrs. C. E. Baxter, Mrs. Mercer and Miss Geraldine Mercer visited their son and brother at Camp Barkley Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. John Cheney of Durant were visitors in Caddo last Sunday.

J. W. Smith, fifth grade teacher in the Caddo schools, has been accepted for enlistment in the naval reserve as physical education instructor, and will report in Dallas, Texas, April 20 for induction into service.

Miss Annette Powell was in Caddo last weekend from Stillwater, where she is a student at Oklahoma A. & M. College.

Miss Margie Sue Powell was home from Murray College for the Easter holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Baxter of Graham; Miss Helen Baxter from Murray college, and Miss Lorene Baxter from Fewell were visitors with their parents Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Baxter, during the past weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe M. Brown were visitors in Dallas the last weekend.

Mrs. M. F. Overstreet of Durant was a visitor in Caddo last Friday afternoon.

Miss Christine Philpott and Harold Slack were visitors in Tulsa last weekend.

Mrs. C. C. Bilbo, Mrs. B. K. Williamson and Mrs. I. Schaffer were Durant visitors Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Rohde and son, Mike, and Ed Rohde of Fort Worth, are in Caddo this week to be at the bedside of Mrs. B. Rohde, who is dangerously ill at her home.

Rev. and Mrs. A. S. Eggner were visitors in Durant last Friday.

Mrs. J. W. Redmon and Mrs. J. R. Daniels of Altus, visited with friends in Caddo the past weekend.

Glen Simpson was home over the holidays from the University at Norman.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Washington had as their guest last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Jake Haley of Enid, Carter Haley of Brownwood, Texas and Jim Haley of Dallas.

Mrs. Edw. Walters and Mrs. Nannie Folsom were visitors in Sherman last Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Freeny of Oklahoma City visited in the Freeny home east of town last Saturday and Sunday.

Miss Lois McIntosh was at home from Henryetta for the Easter holidays.

James Nation was home from his work in Wichita, Kansas last weekend.

Mrs. Henry McGehey was in Caddo Sunday from her home in Atoka visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. V. Ware.

Miss Edna Fowler was home last weekend from Atoka.

Mr. and Mrs. Luther Trout and sons of Shreveport, La. spent Easter with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Cobb Trout.

Lightning struck the home of Frank Dyer in Durant Tuesday afternoon, almost ruining the dwelling by fire.

Durant will vote Tuesday the 5^th of May on a bond issue of $150,000 to buy land to build a flight training school.

W. B. Bizzell, president emeritus and chairman of the department of sociology at the Oklahoma University, will give the commencement address at Northwestern state college at Alva on May 28.
