Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Shofner of Courtney, were here for the B. B. Easley funeral.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones Sharp attending the wedding of a cousin in Tulsa Saturday.
More than 4 inches of rain has fallen here since Monday. The parched earth is quenched and crop prospects better.
Mrs. C. E. Baxter, Mrs. Mercer and Miss Geraldine Mercer visited their son and brother at Camp Barkley Sunday.

J. W. Smith, fifth grade teacher in the Caddo schools, has been accepted for enlistment in the naval reserve as physical education instructor, and will report in Dallas, Texas, April 20 for induction into service.

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Rohde and son, Mike, and Ed Rohde of Fort Worth, are in Caddo this week to be at the bedside of Mrs. B. Rohde, who is dangerously ill at her home.

Mr. and Mrs. Luther Trout and sons of Shreveport, La. spent Easter with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Cobb Trout.
Lightning struck the home of Frank Dyer in Durant Tuesday afternoon, almost ruining the dwelling by fire.
Durant will vote Tuesday the 5th of May on a bond issue of $150,000 to buy land to build a flight training school.
W. B. Bizzell, president emeritus and chairman of the department of sociology at the Oklahoma University, will give the commencement address at Northwestern state college at Alva on May 28.
