CHS Commencement Is Held This Week
Friday will mark the close of the school of Caddo for this year. This brings to an end one of the most successful years to be had by the schools and one record- that of the largest graduating class in the history of the school- has been made a precedent.
Eighteen boys and thirteen girls will receive their diplomas at the commencement night program Friday. The following are the Seniors for 1931:
Mary Adeline Boland, Mary Lois Goddard, Mary Adeline McGraw, Katherine Mugler, Marinell Kuschke, Virginia McGraw, Lillian McGraw, Dorothy Harris, Thelma Hall, Rosa Lee Owens, Lottie Rogers, Lillian Smith and Theresa Wallis.
Raymond Stapleton, William L. Pinson, Clifton Wood, David Wilson, Frank Semple, Bruce Pace, Ura Nickles, Woodrow Mills, Glynn Martin, Robert Hamilton, Homer Geter, Jack Copeland, Joe Copeland, Kenneth M. Davis, Billy Edwards, Bill Driver, and Roy Jones.
Sunday at the auditorium the Baccalaureate sermon was preached by Rev. Geo. E. Tyson. Tuesday night the class night program was enjoyed by an exceptionally large crowd. Thursday night the commencement exercise for the eighth grade was held.
Friday night the commencement exercise will be held at the auditorium with T.M. Beaird of the Extension Division of the University of Oklahoma as the speaker.
