Gun Club Shoot
Some time ago a gun club was organized by Caddo people and traps and birds ordered. These arrived this week and Monday several of the members went out to the fair grounds to try their skill. Fifteen shots each were fired. Following is the score:

L.C. Leflore is president of the club and S. J. Homer is secretary and treasurer. By a little practice these gentlemen will make first class marksmen. The fairgrounds will be their regular meeting place.
Rev. Pritchet Found Dead
Van Alstyne, Tex., April 9 – Rev. G. W. Pritchett, pastor of the Christian Church at this place, was found dead in a room tonight about 10 o’clock, death having been caused by a load of shot, which took effect in his neck. He had been suffering from the grip for about two months. The deed was committed at the residence of his father-in-law, Dr. S.W. Moore. Until recently Mr. Pritchett had been pastor of the Christian Church of Greenville where he served four years.

I take this means of publically thanking the citizens of Caddo for their support of myself for the office of town marshal. I can assure you that I appreciate this evidence of confidence in myself and I intend to show same by a faithful performance of the duties of the office. J. T. Jackson
The Choctaw Normal
The Second Annual Choctaw Teachers Normal will be held at Jones Academy (near Hartshorne) beginning June 17, 1901 and will continue four weeks. Further information concerning the normal will be given soon. Calvin Ballard, School supervisor, Choctaw Nation.
Wed
Ben Siegel returned home from St. Louis Wednesday. He was married March 31st at East St. Louis, Ill. to Miss Annie Losos, an accomplished and charming young lady. She returned with Mr. Siegel. They were receiving the congratulations of Ben’s many friends here yesterday who wished them all the joy of this life. Ben is building a beautiful home in the west part of town and will occupy it when finished.
