Woman Dies as She Goes to Board Train
Fort Worth, Texas, Feb. 18- Walking from the station door to the train that was to carry her to her new home at Caddo, Mrs. Mary L. Jones, about 30 years old, fell on the concrete pavement near the gate of the Union Station and died about thirty minutes later. She was leading her 4-year-old daughter, Catherine, at the time she fell. She was in poor health, though death was not due to heart disease as it was believed at first. She had started from her former home in Oklahoma to join her husband, W. V. Jones at Caddo. The railroad ticket which she carried provided for transportation from Enid, Ok. to Srawn. She carried with her a letter from her husband telling her how to proceed from Strawn to Caddo. Mrs. Jones and her little daughter arrived in Fort Worth early this morning over the Rock Island. Following the fall she was carried into the women’s waiting room and a physician was called, but she died shortly after he arrived. Identification was established by means of the letters found in the suit case she carried.
