Here is a link to an interesting story about Henry Forbis Bonner. He was aboard the USS Gambier Bay when it sank in 1944. He survived and his account is worth reading. He was born in Caddo and was the son of Ross and Eula (Manning) Bonner and the grandson of Dr. Thomas J. and Matilda Manning.
