The Caddo Herald
July 11, 1930
Mr. W. L. Guthrie and Prof. W. J. Dowd, directors of the County Fair for Caddo Township are getting busy making arrangements of the Township Fair which will be held in Caddo early in September.
Mr. Dowd especially asks that the people begin now to prepare exhibits for this and the County Fair. The premium list will include most everything produced in this township. Right now is the time to prepare oats, barley, and wheat in bundles. Hang the bundles stem up, out of reach of chickens and rats.
There will be prizes on canning stuff, on 4H work, and on fancy work. Caddo Township has won the money at the County Fair and at the State Fair, so let us not be lagging at this time.
Farm animals will come in for good prizes too.
Let us make this the biggest and best Township Fair that we have ever had , so that people will be attracted to our settlement. While this is the Caddo Township Fair, entries may be made by people who live in any of Caddo trade territory including Atoka county to the north, like Rock Springs, Liberty, Voca, and Caney.
