Bass Sells Grocery But to Stay in Caddo
The Bass Co. this week turned over their grocery stock to Paul Hancock, the transfer taking place Monday.
It is nearly 21 years since we came to Caddo and entered the grocery business. During that time the people of Caddo and surrounding country have been uniformly generous with us. For this generosity, for their trade and consideration, we feel profoundly grateful. Without it our business success could not have been.
In turning over our business to Paul Hancock we feel that he will amply be able to take care of your wants in this line, and we trust that you will favor him as much as possible.
We have not left Caddo, neither do we contemplate doing so. Our other interests are here, and we shall have quite a deal to do these next few months getting our business affairs in proper shape. In due time we shall hope to serve you in some capacity.
Our Mr. Amos K. Bass will continue his grain and cotton business, and his extensive other business, and his extensive other interests will require most of his time. The Bass Co.

In assuming charge of the Bass Co. Stock of groceries we hope to merit your continued patronage. We shall endeavor to anticipate your continued wants. We shall endeavor to keep this store to the same high standard- we shall endeavor to anticipate your eating wants to the extent that we hope never to be out of anything our customers might want.
