Small Safe Blown at Caddo, Another Safe Overlooked
Burglars early last night blew up a safe in the station of the Katy railroad at Caddo, obtaining but $4.30 in pennies, and overlooked a concealed wall safe in the office, which contained the bulk of the money of the office at Caddo. Between $500 and $1,000 was in the safe overlooked.
The small safe was completely demolished and a hole three feet square was blown in the ceiling of the office, but few persons heard the report of the blast, the station being quite a distance from town, and the robbery was not discovered until midnight, when Joe Stubblefield, the night man went to the station to begin his duties.
The county authorities were working on the case and arrests were expected soon.
