The Caddo Herald, May 25, 1923
At the Presbyterian church in Dallas last Saturday Mr. Amos K. Bass of Caddo, Okla. and Miss Gladys Williams of Corpus Christi, Texas, were united in marriage.
Immediately after the ceremony the bride and groom left for New Orleans, La. to spend several days, after which they will return to Caddo and make their home in Durant, in a new residence just completed on Main Street by Mr. Bass.
Mr. Bass has been in business in Caddo since 1897, coming here as a young man, entering the grocery and grain business. He has been successful- more so than most men and is one of the most enterprising citizens of the town.
Miss Williams is a lovely young woman, having visited in Caddo on several occasions.
The newlyweds carry with them the best wishes of a host of friends in Texas and Oklahoma.
It is with much regret that Caddo is to lose Mr. Bass as a citizen. He will continue to have a branch of his business here, though his headquarters will be in Durant.
