My friend Judy located this photo of the courthouse that once sat on Main Street and Court in Caddo. It's odd that I'm having trouble finding factual information about the building. I've seen it referred to as the "Choctaw Nation Courthouse", the "Blue County Courthouse", the "Choctaw Council House" and the "Caddo Courthouse". I guess I may have to track down the abstract. If anyone has some information to share please let me know. I've found records of cases tried in the building and references to the judges, but info about the building itself has been more difficult. I do know there is a clipping at the museum about the fire in the 1950s that destroyed it. I'll take a look at that this weekend. I know I don't usually post something until after I've researched it, but I thought it might be interesting to see how many readers remember the building and anything about it.
