Examining Trial to be Held Wednesday

County Attorney Phillips was here yesterday, looking into the case of M.E. Golden who is now in jail at Durant, charged with the murder of Thos. J. Craghead last Monday night. Mr. Phillips stated that the examining trial would be held in Caddo at the Royal Theatre before Justice A.P. Braudrick next Wednesday morning, beginning at 9 o’clock.

He further stated that Mrs. M. E. Golden, wife of the defendant was placed in jail at Durant the evening before on a joint charge of murder with her husband and that the examining trial of both would be held at the same time.

J.T. McIntosh has been employed to assist the county attorneys in the case. Utterback & McDonald have charge of the defense.
