I love summer because I can go to the library at least once a week! Found several resources that are “new to me”, including Notable Men of Indian Territory, 1904-1905, edited by Paul W. H. Dewitz. Also located some new websites that I will link here as soon as I get permission. If you have resources, questions, suggestions, or photos to share, don’t hesitate to email me.
Found these in the Caddo Free Press, Jan. 24, 1879 and I don’t think I’ve posted them before:
W. A. McBride and Miss Clara A. Murrow, Jan 16 in Atoka, by Rev. H. F. Buckner
J. F. Vales and Mrs. M. Stidham in Caddo, Sunday the 19th by Rev. Edward Morris
Mr. Absolem Lewis and Miss Nancy Logan in the Free Press office on Jan. 22 by Rev. Edward Morris
From Blue County Marriages:
Joe H. Goforth, Cordelia Nelson, 14 Sept 1901
Clay Freeny, Josephine Bateman, 6 Jun 1894
Samual Jackson, Mrs. Mary Goforth, 14 Jul 1901
Solomon Goforth, Mary Homer, 11 Jul 1897
James B. Clark, Ellen Airington, 11 Aug. 1886
Charles A. Bilbo, Ella McCoy, 11 Sept. 1889
Overlooked this recently:
Seeking information on Susan Walden, born 30 Jan 1860 and died 03 May 1889. She was married to Andrew Robert Thomas. Reportedly buried near her infant daughter Fronie in the Caddo Cemetery.
