It's time for the second Anniversary Celebration of Caddo's Most Unique Store: Craighead's Five and Dime
On November 24th and 25th you will have the opportunity to step back in time and relive your childhood Christmas dreams! Buy penny candy, paper dolls, and other treasures from the shelves of one of Caddo’s oldest stores. Explore every nook and cranny of this old-fashioned variety store. Discover delightful gifts while you listen to forties music and sample refreshments.
The weekend after Thanksgiving marks the anniversary of the re-opening of Craighead’s under the ownership of Gary and Belinda Davison. Craighead’s is a Caddo landmark, owned and operated for decades by the Craighead family. When Maurine Craighead retired, the store was purchased by the Davisons and they set to work to renovate the decaying building. Unfortunately the front of the store completely collapsed before the project could be completed. Family and friends rallied to help clean up the aftermath and get the rebuilding project back on track. It took a lot of time and even more faith, but the store opened for business in 2004.
Last year the Davison’s held a celebration to thank the townspeople for their patience and support. This year’s anniversary promises to be an even bigger event! There will be gifts, drawings, and refreshments. At a time when customer service is becoming a rare commodity, the Davisons go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
Please join with Caddo in celebrating their anniversary and the start of the holidays at Craighead’s Five and Dime.
