A Message from 1899

I swear I'm not making this up. I ran across this little item in the April 7, 1899 issue of the Caddo Herald.

"The sloppy condition of the walks in Caddo yesterday was an object lesson to the public spirited citizens and to the municipal government. Side walks are the most needed thing at this time."
