It's been a dry, HOT week in Caddo. The drought is affecting everyone. You'll see lots of people around town from about 6am to 11am and then everyone retreats to the air conditioning until evening!
This morning my husband and I worked on the flower beds downtown and they are really struggling. Hal Nesbitt does a great job of keeping everything watered, but the heat has just been oppressive. We're all praying for a refreshing rain!
I finally took a photo of the south side of Buffalo Street. Several people have asked me about it. I guess we usually photograph the north side because that's where City Hall is located. I also found this older photo of the corner building before it was remodeled and it still had the "flying horse" from the gas station attached to it.
