The Town Restoration Association of Caddo recently adopted the slogan "Caddo, OK- The antique town on a buffalo trail." You'll begin to see it soon on signs, logos, postcards, etc. The long-term plan is to have buffalo symbols all over town. Our main street is Buffalo Street and we have wooden buffalo silhouettes in front of several businesses. One of our stores, "100 Buffalo Creations" has a nice collection of buffaloes. One of our residents has a personal collection that is growing. My own dream is to have a huge buffalo statue at Boland Park. For this reason I'm always on the lookout for a great buffalo. Here are a few I've found around the state. The big guy taking a rest is at the Oklahoma History Center in OKC. The colorful one is at the Omniplex, also in OKC. The rugged looking one is in front of a bank in Hugo. (And yes, we all know they are really bison. We'll have that discussion another day.)
